Re: MET1 remote
Oh no! I didn't leave it dangling like that :). I actually glued the resonator to the board safely and away from points of potential contact. The original location board plating was damaged (got ripped off together with resonator) so I had to find another location to tap in. All in all, It continues...

Re: MET1 remote
All done,
Just waiting for the glue to set the cap(or whatever it is) permanently.
All working fine, it took some time because I had to order a magnifying glass Yes. I'm not that young anymore!
thanks to All

MET1 remote
Hello,
If anyone here can share a photo of the insides of the remote for MET1 I'd be ecstatic!!! A capacitor broke off and I have no clue where to solder it back.
Thanks
Bart

Re: Another MET1 on the forum - NO problems
For whatever reason buffer mosfets for C and L irf710 died. Luckily I had the same type available among my electronics supplies. When I changed R,C,L transistors to other brand (bought it long time ago from digikey) I noticed some sonic changes. More dynamics..... I like it... :D Next, I'm getting r...

Re: Integrating Two-Channel Set Up Into a Home Theater
Connect FR and FL from your Denon to Theater IN. It makes signal pass through "untouched" by your CJET3SE. Your mono blocks are connected to CJ main out. Denon processor controls volume. Do not connect CD player or anything without volume control to Theater IN. Lower your Denon volume and ...

great speakers! I always loved B&G drivers and at some point I'll probably DIY speakers using bohlender graebener drivers. Neo3 implements nicely with ML electrostats.

Re: Another MET1 on the forum - NO problems
It has been a while since my last post. I still remain in a state of bliss with my MET-1 mod. Tried some more tubes without much success(will post later on). Being infected with "modifitis" disease (thanks Jeffrey) started looking up and down my audio path components. Going up from MET-1I ...

Re: Another MET1 on the forum - NO problems
Don't worry, I'm well supplied for the next couple of years
Mullard Master Series 10M represents sound character similar/the same to original Mullards M8080. The ony set of tubes, which sounded quite different was Sylvania Gold Series. These would benefit darker sounding systems.

Re: Another MET1 on the forum - NO problems
Malcolm02,
I got all my tubes from ebay. These are rare items but from time to time pops up. For Mullards 10M paid about $7 each.
In general Mullards are the friendliest of them all but even so they can go noisy or microphonic.

Another set of "worry free" tubes. Mullard Master Series 10M - 6c4. It probably won't get any better than this. No microphonics and dead quiet. Very neutral sounding.

Re: Another MET1 on the forum - NO problems
Jeffrey,
Yes, I did have 0.33uF SCPs on all front channels. It turned out, Mundorf Silver/Oil 2.2uF alone, without bypass, suited my taste better.
The 0.33uF SCPs I removed are currently employed in my phono preamp with great success .

See you are selling your Logans. I wonder what would be your next step? Did you eventually get Statement E2?

another tubes tryout
This time Sylvania Gold. Long story short: 3 out of 5 hissing/noisy. Two tubes are fine, however sonic signature is quite different from original Mullards. I'd name it brighter and less-flat_freq-balanced than M8080. That's, of course, considering nature of my system and my personal preferences. I s...
