Bi-wire speaker cables conversion
Hello,
I would like to use the Nordost bi-wire speaker cables with four banana plugs on the speaker end with Magnepan. However, Magnepan only has single connection. I don't want to reterminate the cables. Is there any adapter to convert the bi-wire to shotgun?
Thank you

Re: Various CJ Upgrades
I still love my legendary Prem 8A's with Teflon upgrade and the ARTII Pre driving Maggies 3.7. I think the Prem 8A's are the best looking CJ amp with champagne top plate. I would not let these beauties go, I won't be able to find the equivalent build quality with the money I get from selling these. ...

Re: The Martin Logan CLX's, a true work of Art!
RJ, My Premier 8A's have Teflon upgrade. I am not sure if they also have Vishay. I inquired Jeff to do upgrade to my ART2 Pre. It would be nice if I can bring it to the ART3 level. However, the upgrade cost is huge that I can use the funds to acquire a pre-owned GAT or ET7S2 (Jeff recommended me thi...

Re: Premier 16LS vs Premier 17LS2
I don't own any of the 16 or 17. I would pick 17LS2 for its loaded with a bunch of Teflon caps. I may consider the 16LS if it is stock without any modification unless the upgrade is done by the CJ factory. Although the service is done appropriately by a certified tech with equivalent parts, there is...

Replacing all the caps? It would be a fun project. I don't have expertise to repair/rebuild electronic equipment. But it is fun to learn

Re: Capacitor damaged in speaker crossover
I would get exact same specs (I have no knowledge in higher/lower voltage) or check with the manufacture if the alternative will work and won't affect the sound. Since your system is still running now; so it is ok to wait a bit for delivery. I don't think it would take longer than a week to ship fro...

Re: For Those Missing Tube Cages- An Idea
Roberto,
I remove the cover when the amps are on. So no issue with heat. I think you can customize to have the holes cutout on the top of the cover to release the heat.

Re: For Those Missing Tube Cages- An Idea
My previous BAT amps and Rogue M180 did not have fully covered tube cages. So I had ordered acrylic covers for these amps as well as for my turntables.

I am using Classic 2SE with TEA2SE HG. I used Dynavector 20x2L and Lyra Delos. This phono will stay in my system. It replaced my old Pass XOno, BAT VK-P10, Rogue, and Ayre.

Glad that they are up and running.
They will be hard to beat with the GAT.
I had an ET5 which is a great preamp I have owned.

Re: Sell my GAT2 to buy Kondo Overture?
Joe,
Will the Overture be your end game amp? Have you listened to it with your AG? Kahl Audio is selling an used one if you can borrow it to try in your system.
So sad that you are letting CJ go. But I am excited that you will get the best match for your AG.
