Change voltage from 125 to 220V in preamps.

Post by Nando22 »

Hello.

I am proudy owner of a Conrad Johnson gear. I have got a Premier Eleven A amp. I am really satisfied. :D

A question please. :?:

Would you answer me if is it possible to change voltage from 125 V to 220V by swicht it to internal jumpers in CJ preamplificators, PV12, Premier 14, Classic o Classic 2? Or is it necessary a new transformer?

I live in Europe, from Spain.
Thanks very much for your help.

Best regards.

I don't think you can change voltages with jumpers on any of those units you mention. I think it takes some rewiring work on the inside.

To the best of my knowledge all cj gear is multi voltage. Cj can provide instruction on how to rewire the transformer to 220v.

Oh, this it a very good news!!! :D
I suppose in most case will be necesary change internal rewire or internal dampers but I don´t know if this is like that en every models. I´m looking for information about these preamps.

Thanks very much for your help to both.
