PF-2 Phono passing DC

Post by engie3245 »

I pulled my PF-2 out of storage and the phono stage is passing DC. I see 2 adjustment pots near the gain switches. Are those for adjusting the DC offset?

Hola. DC should no be present there. I'm more thinking about a coupling cap. I don't have the diagram for it, but usually 0.022 to 0.33uF are used for DC coupling. Just thinking a solution.
You are able to use less capacitance too. Typically is 0.22 to .33 uF.
If you want to adjust those pots, mark the position of them, and and your check point, see if they are for that. If not, just return the pot at the original position.

Happy listening!
