About output transformer for MV55

dear sir：
My uncle bought a tube amp （MⅤ55）from a second-hand markets several years ago. We are all your brand fans. While when we opened the amp and update some caps， we found the two output transformers are difference, not only the cosmetic but also for the label No. which is sticker on the surface. I guess maybe it was fixed or changed by previous users. Could Conrad Johnson side do favor for me to distinguish which one is the original design for MV55 ?One is show 783a3, the other is 783a4.

I suspect you’re not being ignored. The answer might not be readily known by a denizen of CJO.

Roberto might know. You could pm him.

Others who might know visit infrequently, and post even more infrequently.

There are some complications in answering. These are from the same company, and look like they are possibly interchangeable.

They could both be OEM. Or one could have been replaced later, possibly early in the life of the unit.

The question is odd in that you will have trouble finding either one. If you find one in a similar state of aging, replace the mismatched one, and no one will ask about this again.

You could ask your official CJ importer to find out for you. CJ might give information to them that they wouldn’t share with you (or us) directly.
