CJ CAV45 S2 ultralinear mode ?

Post by retroactiv »

Hello,
I'm waiting for my cav45 s2 to arrive. I noticed on the CJ website it says it uses UL, ultralinear mode.
With my current Cayin A-50T I have always preferred it in Triode mode, it can be switched via remote between UL and Triode.
So I'm curious what to think about this for the cav45? Any thoughts?

I think you should not be too concerned about the difference between ultralinear/Triode as there will be more difference between individual units vs mode of operation in said units. I think you will find that this will be a significant upgrade in audio quality, period. At the end of the day, let your ears judge. I seriously doubt you will be disappointed. Congrats on the CAV45s2 and enjoy the tunes.
